Who we are

dumbstuff.lol (“we”, “us”) is a small website that makes and promotes small internet products. Contact: ship@dumbstuff.lol.

Using the site

You can read, poke and share anything on dumbstuff.lol for free. Don’t attack, scrape at scale, or try to break the site or other people’s use of it.

Buying hours

dumbstuff.lol sells sponsored takeovers: blocks of 1 to 24 consecutive clock hours (UTC) during which your approved content is shown across dumbstuff.lol and the products we run. This is advertising space and nothing else. You don’t own the site, the hour, or any tile in the Quilt, and none of them can be resold or transferred.

• Price. Each hour’s price is shown before you pay: the Dumb Index multiplied by that hour’s traffic weight. The price you see at checkout is the price you pay.
• Content first. You submit your takeover content before paying. We check it automatically and sometimes by hand. You can only pay for approved content.
• Delivery. Your takeover goes live at the start of your first hour and ends at the end of your last. Start and end times are shown in your timezone before payment.
• Final once paid. Before paying you review your takeover and see exactly how it will look. After payment it can’t be changed.
• Limits. Bookings open up to a year ahead. Up to 24 hours per buyer in any 72 hours, and one full-day block per buyer in any 7 days.
• No promises about traffic. We publish real visitor and click numbers for every hour. We don’t guarantee any number of visitors, clicks, sales or results.
• Age. You must be 18 or older to buy.

Payments

Payments are processed by Dodo Payments, which acts as the Merchant of Record and seller of record for your purchase. Dodo Payments handles payment processing, sales tax and VAT, and your receipt. Their terms also apply to the payment.

Removing content

We can refuse or remove any takeover that breaks the content policy, including while it is live. Refunds for removed content follow the refund policy.

Our content

The design, code, text and products on dumbstuff.lol belong to us. Buyers keep ownership of the content they submit and give us permission to display it during their hours, in their receipt, in the Quilt and in screenshots of the site.

Liability

The site is provided as is. If a takeover isn’t delivered because of a problem on our side, your remedy is the replacement hour or refund described in the refund policy. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any purchase is limited to the amount you paid for it.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. Purchases follow the terms in place when you paid.
