What can and can't appear during an hour of dumbstuff.lol.

Every takeover goes through automatic checks before you can pay, and links are checked again before and during your hours. Every owned hour carries a visible AD label.

Allowed

  • Real, working products, apps, projects and newsletters at a public https:// link you own or may promote.
  • Personal messages: birthdays, anniversaries, jokes, proposals. Kind, and about people who’d be happy to see them.
  • Questions for visitors, as long as they follow the rest of this page.

Not allowed

  • Anything illegal where you or your audience are.
  • Sexual or adult content, nudity, or content involving minors in any way.
  • Hate, harassment, threats, or insults about any person or group, including “jokes” aimed at a real private person.
  • Violence, weapons, explosives, or anything that glorifies them.
  • Gambling, betting, lotteries, sweepstakes, and games with cash prizes.
  • Crypto, tokens, NFTs, trading signals, investment or “get rich” offers.
  • Medical, health, weight-loss or financial claims.
  • Political or religious messages or campaigns.
  • Phishing, malware, scams, fake giveaways, link shorteners, or links that redirect somewhere else.
  • Impersonating a brand, company or person, or using a brand you aren’t allowed to use.
  • Private information: phone numbers, addresses, emails or documents of people who didn’t publish them.
  • Copyrighted material you don’t have the rights to.
  • Anything Dodo Payments, our payment provider, doesn’t allow.

How we check

  1. Limited fields. No HTML, scripts or video. Text has short length limits, and logos must be PNG, JPEG or WebP.
  2. Automatic checks. Text is checked by a moderation model. Links are followed to their final address and checked against Google Web Risk and our blocklist. Anything that fails can’t be paid for.
  3. People. A person looks at every new logo before it shows (your takeover runs without it until then) and reads every report. Nothing waits on us to go live.
  4. While live. Links are re-checked before and during your hours. We can remove a takeover instantly.

Reporting

Every owned hour has a “report this hour” button, or email ship@dumbstuff.lol. Copyright or trademark notices go to the same address. Include the hour and what’s wrong.

Removing content for breaking this policy is final, and the refund rules in the refund policy apply.
